Work Stoppages

Work stoppages can occur in both the union and nonunion environments. It is important that an employer understand the difference between illegal and legal work stoppages and the consequences which result from these types of work stoppages. Equally important for an employer are the practical ramifications of a work stoppage and to be as prepared as possible in order to continue to function and work with vendors and customers. The exercise of legal rights are to a large degree dependent upon how well the employer can function during a work stoppage. Our Firm has been involved in over 100 work stoppages involving large and small companies. We have always been ready to advise and assist employers on a moment's notice. We are fully aware that these situations involve attention on a twenty-four hour/seven-day-a-week basis, and we are prepared to assist in accordance with such needs. We understand that whatever it legally takes to keep the business going and to help the company prevail is the necessary theme in such circumstances.
